Sixth grade students in the Cambridge Public Schools explore World Geography and Ancient History. At the end of the sixth grade, students will be able to
- Explain how geography impacts human societies.
- Describe the origins of humanity and the characteristics of the first civilizations, including Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece.
- Identify and summarize primary and secondary sources.
- Develop written essays with clear arguments and historical evidence.
- Conduct short historical research projects with self-generated research questions.
