On Sunday, November 8th, thirteen members of the Putnam Avenue Community participated in a Spartan Race at Fenway Park under the team name "Panthers on the Prowl". Participants ran a 5K throughout the park while overcoming twenty challenging obstacles such as a rope climb, heavy bag hoist, wall climbing, monkey bars, and even a spear throw. All thirteen members completed the race with the fastest person completing the race in 45 minutes. Mr. Dave Richardson posted the best time of any other competitor in his age group. The Monday following the race, team members wore their Spartan Race "Finisher" shirts despite many sets of sore arms and legs.
