Putnam Ave. Debate Team Competes at Boston Debate League Tournament

Congratulations to the Putnam Avenue Debate Team who brought home six trophies from the first Greater Boston Debate League tournament Saturday, November 21st at Brandeis University.
Sharon Bosco (8th grade) received a trophy for 3rd best speaker, Sharon Bosco and Tim Santospago (6th grade) received 5th place team trophies, and Elizabeth Teffera and Simon Simpson (8th grade) received 15th place team trophies. The entire team, including Ben Versoy and Greggy Bazile (7th grade), helped the Putnam Ave. team win a 2nd place Spirit Award for our patience and flexibility, as well as our amazing new team sweatshirts.
It’s not too late to join Debate Club. If you like to argue, come check out debate! Our topics this year are immigration and drone surveillance. The next tournament is Saturday, January 9th in Boston. Again, congratulations to our debaters for representing Putnam Ave. so well.
