On Wednesday, December 9th at 6:30PM, Mr. Bradley, Ms. Elguindy, Mrs. Bill, Mr. Sciarra, and their Performing Arts classes presented their Winter Showcase. The concert opened with the wonderful sounds of the Putnam Avenue Upper School Concert Band. The program consisted of music ranging from the classic "Wipe Out" to the "Three Minute Nutcracker." The Chorus followed with joyous sounds of holidays of different cultures, including "Inuit Vignette," the folk song "S'Vivon," and "The 12 Days After Christmas."

Ms. Elguindy and the musical theater students then previewed the opening number from their up and coming production of "Alice at Wonderland." It was quite the performance. We ended the night with our Putnam Avenue Upper School Orchestra. Not only did the orchestra fill the air and our hearts with joyous sounds of the season, but we were also given the opportunity to interact with them for a sing-along.

We also had special guest star appearances by our bassist and school counselor, Mr Perry, and the Piano Diva herself, Assistant Principal Ms. Pamela Chu-Sheriff. This presentation of the arts will not only be remembered as our final concert in the old building but also as a night of beautiful artistic expression.
