The seventh grade students have settled into their new location at 100 Putnam Avenue. With the move into our new home, we have been focused upon our core value of Pride. Below is a question and answer session with a few 7th grade students, Kayla B. and Aristaia Y.

What are the PAUS core values?
Passion, Pride, Ownership with Balance and Perseverance

What does the Core Value of Pride mean to you?

Ari: Pride means to be proud of what you accomplished and enjoy what you are doing and have fun while you are doing it.

Kayla: We take pride in our identity and our school.

How do you apply the Core Value of Pride in and out of school?

Ari: I apply the core value of pride by participating in multiple after school activities and working my hardest to achieve my best.

Kayla: I apply it by volunteering around the school and out of school.

How can you apply the Core Value of Pride to our new building?

Ari: I can apply the core value of pride in our new building by taking pride in my activities and taking care of the new environment.

Kayla: I can apply it by showing pride in my school and my identity.

What is you favorite place in the new building? 

Ari & Kayla: Auditorium!

What does Maya Angelou’s quotation reflecting pride mean to you
?
Ari: Actions speak louder than words. Emotions last and there is a feeling attached to every memory.

Kayla: What you do has an impact on people’s feelings and emotions.
