Generosity and Gratefulness

In December, we put out a call for gift cards that could be donated to families within our Putnam Avenue community. The hope was to ensure that our families in need could buy food, clothing, and gifts during the holiday season. The response was overwhelming!
We received over $700 in donations.
We are extremely grateful for everyone’s contributions. Numerous families accepted the gift cards to Shaw’s, Target, TJMaxx, and elsewhere. Every gift card that we received helped to feed, clothe, and make the season special for our students and their families.
A special thanks goes to Kevin McKenzie and the congregation at the Aletheia church in Cambridge. Kevin reached out to Putnam Avenue and asked how his church could help support the community. The folks at Aletheia rallied and donated ten $50 gift cards to Shaw’s. We are truly appreciative for this generous donation!
