Seventh Grade Science: February 2015
Posted on 02/27/2015
Grade 7Welcome back students, families, and friends of Putnam Ave Upper School from February break. Despite the fine New England winter weather students demonstrated all the Core Values to see their way to school to continue the work of learning and growing. The picture above demonstrates the final product of the 7th grade Social Studies class’s work during our West Africa unit. Students were charged with the task of presenting a PowerPoint presentation to small groups that graded each presenters efforts as well as presentation.

We began the unit by learning that the study of Africa is not the study of slavery or poverty: that it is in fact the study of rich cultures and vibrant traditions that permeate our own society.

All year long students have been building their public speaking and presentation skills. Nearly every unit for the remainder of the year will have an even more advanced public speaking component. On behalf of the 7th grade team we look forward to serving students and families as we navigate our way through middle school in preparation for High School and beyond. With all of our united efforts we are confident that each students is on the path to “The Good Life”.
