PAUS Student Wins Spot in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Eastern Junior District Orchestra

MeghanCongratulations to Megan Huang, former MLK student and current PAUS 7th grade student who won a spot in the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) Eastern Junior District Orchestra! Megan auditioned on flute at Needham High School and will now head to Lincoln-Sudbury High School on March 8 - 9, 2019 to perform in the MMEA Eastern Junior District Festival. 

The Eastern Junior District Band and Orchestra ensembles are comprised of 7th-9th grade students who audition for placement. The auditions are quite competitive and winning a spot is not guaranteed. Megan competed against other 7th-9th grade flute players from the Eastern District which includes the towns and cities of Acton, Bedford, Boston, Boxborough, Brookline, Cambridge, Carlisle, Concord, Dedham, Dover, Framingham, Lincoln, Littleton, Medfield, Millis, Milton, Natick, Needham, Newton, Quincy, Sherborn, Somerville, Sudbury, Waltham, Watertown, Wayland, Wellesley, Westford, Weston, and Westwood. 

Megan now has the distinction of becoming the first PAUS Band member to win a spot in the MMEA Eastern Junior District Orchestra. Please congratulate her when you see her!
