Family Involvement

The Putnam Avenue Upper School believes strongly in partnering with parents and families to enhance student success and learning experiences. Strong home/school communication is essential to a child’s success in school. Administrators, teachers, and staff can be reached via telephone and email. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take advantage of parent conferences and Back to School Nights. Parents and families are welcomed and encouraged to become involved at school in a variety of ways, including:

  • reviewing the student agenda book and communicating with teachers in the “notes” section;
  • attending whole-school, grade-level, and classroom events;
  • volunteering in the classrooms;
  • and serving on councils and committees.
