On Tuesday May 15, 2018, the Chorus, String Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Concert Band performed at the annual Spring Concert! The Chorus, directed by Eytan Wurman, opened up with a spirited rendition of Circle of Life from The Lion King, followed by a Trio of African American Spirituals. The Chorus then showed off their step dance moves as they sang Candy Rain. The Chorus closed their set with Tutakwenda by Will Lopes.

The String Orchestra, directed by Job Salazar-Fonseca, opened with a violin solo featuring 7th grade student Athena Aloupis, who performed J.S. Bach's Concerto for Two Violins. The full orchestra then played a medley of pieces from the movie Harry Potter. The String Orchestra closed with a medley of Michael Jackson pop favorites.

The Jazz Band, directed by Brandon Sciarra, began their set with the Duke Ellington standard C-Jam Blues, which included solos by Victoria Park on violin, Evan Messina on clarinet, Raffaele Guetta on piano, and Alex Nolan on trombone. Next, they played the Latin jazz classic Oye Como Va by Tito Puente! This piece included solos by Owen Johnson on alto saxophone, Bianca Srubek Tomassy on trumpet, Kaia McCaffrey on trumpet, and Kabir Shotland on clarinet. The Jazz Band closed their set with the Kenny Dorham standard Blue Bossa, which included solos by Jade Buckwalter on flute and Giselle Korn on clarinet. A special thank you to Mr. Perry for accompanying the jazz band on electric bass!

The Concert Band, directed by Brandon Sciarra, started their program off with an arrangement of music from the movie The Avengers that was followed by Latin Fiesta. The band then played the pop hit HandClap, followed by Wipeout, which featured drum-set soloist Ruggero Botto. The band concluded their performance with Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling.
