Quarter 1 AwardsOn Thursday, November 9, 2017, a whole school assembly was held to celebrate the end of Quarter 1. Besides chanting our school’s core values, we also cheered on some brave students who volunteered to show off their dance skills on stage. In alignment with our core value of Passion, which states that “our passion is for the pursuit of academic excellence through effort,” we gave out Quarter 1 “Academic Excellence” awards in the following categories:



6th Grade Awards

We also gave a shout out to the Putnam Ave. Cross Country team, who competed in the Upper Schools Cross Country tournament on November 1st. We are proud to celebrate these runners in particular:

  • Kaliab Kebede - 1st place overall
  • Ivan Perez - 2nd place overall
  • Isabelle Slootsky-Johnson - 6th place overall; 1st place for PAUS

We rounded out the assembly by listening to student government speeches from the four teams in the running and were impressed by the poise and dedication of our future student leaders. Go Putnam Ave.!
