Dear Putnam Ave. Students and Families,

As we enter into our twelfth week of school, it is important to remember that even though it feels like we should be further along in the school year, we are just beginning to find our footing in the journey of the 2020-2021 school year. November was a month that has been marked by the celebrations of both Diwali--a festival of new beginnings--and Thanksgiving--an opportunity to practice gratitude. During this pandemic, it can be so easy to focus on all of the things that are different, that are not as we want, and that could be better. As we work together to embrace our new beginning, please extend to yourself, one another, and our staff, grace, patience, and kindness. One way to do this is by practicing gratitude, which offers a variety of benefits from strengthening relationships, improving mental health, increasing happiness, and rewiring the brain. Read more >>
